Anatomía de un Alfajorcito......

Hoy después de mucho tiempo de ser backstage de este blog me decidí a escribir mi primer post oficial, para compartirles el proceso de lo que se ha convertido en uno de mis hobbies. Hace tiempo que empecé a hacer una serie de personajes por la simple necesidad de hacer algo. Empecé con algo sencillo, un simple fieltro, agujas e hilos, y poco a poco he ido adquiriendo mas accesorios y haciendo personajes un poco mas elaborados (los cuales les mostrare en otro post) que se convierten en llaveros, pines o imanes. Fue durante este proceso que una de nuestras clientas, quien en realidad venía por diseño los descubrió, pero buscaba algo mas personalizado, así que me ofrecí a hacer uno que cumpliera con sus necesidades. Ella se dedica a la venta y fabricación de alfajores.....así que esa fue la base para empezar, tome como inspiración sus productos, sus decorados y lo todo lo que estos transmiten; así surgieron los alfajorcitos como pequeños personajes o individuos y al parecer han resultado ser todo un éxito. Asi que aqui les comparto el proceso desde mis bocetos hasta los alfajores terminados y empaquetados.

Today, after a long time to be on the backstage of this blog, I decided to write my first official post, to share the process of what has become one of my hobbies. Some time ago I started doing a series of characters for the simple need to do something. I started with a simple fabric, needles and thread, and little by little I have gained more accesories and doing a bit more elaborate characters (wich I'll show you in another post) these characters can become keychains, pins or magnets. It was during this process one of our clients discovered them, she came because she wanted a design job, but she was very interested by these little fellows but she wanted something more personalized, so I decided to make one that meets her needs. She sells alfajores (a south-american candy).....so I start by taking the product as an inspiration, their decorations and colors, and this is how these little guys were born and they have been quite a success. So this is the process from the beginning.

I Heart Africa..........

La verdad soy super fan de toda la onda étnica, tanto mexicana como de otras partes, es uno de los estilos que mas me gusta, no se porque pero mis ojos brillan ante tales cosas, desde algún diseño interior, los graficos, los colores, artesanía, la gente, la cultura toodooo de verdad, aparte me parece es muy amplia no se cierra a un solo lugar o cultura y entonces hace tiempo vi este hotel en África y recientemente lo volví a encontrar se llama Singita Lebombo Lodge y aquí hay algunas imagenes.

Honestly I am a huge fan of the ethnic vibe and things, not only the mexican one but from everywhere, it's one of my favorite styles, I don't know why but it's like if my eyes were shining everytime I see something with this style, some interior design or the graphics, the colors, the people, the culture well... everything and besides I feel it's such a wide style it doesn't belong to only one place or one culture, it's been a long time since I saw this hotel for the very first time and recently I found it again it's the Singita Lebombo Lodge and here are some images.

Como un caleidoscopio...........

Me encantaron estas calidoscópicas imagenes que me encontre en Oracle Fox del look book de Muther of All Things, como ya lo había dicho, me encanta la fotografía y me encanta la fotografía de moda, pero cuando las presentan de una manera divertida o inusual la amo todavía mas.

Easy and Fashionable..........

Bueno tiene tiempo que Yvett y yo vemos que se andan usando unos brazaletes muy light pero cool, solo un dije y un cordón y como siempre Yvett pensó -"mmm yo puedo hacer eso" y pues lo hizo jajaja, les comparto el fácil proceso.

I'm in love with the Stockholm metro known as Tunnelbana....it must be a joy to move this way trough the city, don't you think???

Thinking of Perú....

Ultimamente Perú ha estado rondandome la mente, me encanta todo lo etnico, alucino esos paisajes y me encuentro con estas hermosas fotos de Vogue precisamente en Perú y simplemente mis ganas por ir se vuelven descomunales jajaja.

Lately Perú is in my mind, I love everything etnic, I dream about the landscapes and suddenly I found these beautiful pics from Vogue about Perú and now it's like I'm dying to go.

Lo nuevo de.....

Alexander McQueen y su publicidad, como ven?? les gusta?? a mi si, ustedes saben que amo a McQueen, lo que me gusta de esta publicidad es como atrapa....no se trata de mostrar solo a una modelo flaca y bonita ni de vender la ropa...ellos van un poquito mas allá, siento que en este caso es un todo, están vendiendo el carácter y personalidad de la marca, antes que cualquier otra cosa.

Alexander McQueen advertising, what do you think?? do you like it?? I do honestly, first of all you know I love McQueen but what I like about this ads it's the way it catch the eye, it's not only about showing a beautiful and skinny model, isn't about selling the clothes.....I think they go a little bit more further, I think we can see more, they are selling us the character and the personality of the brand before anything else.
