¿Cuando debo contratar a un Arquitecto y Diseñador de Interiores?

En México tenemos mucho la cultura de hacer las cosas nosotros mismos y conforme vayan saliendo vamos resolviendo los problemas inmediatos y es muy común que me lleguen clientes que esperan desarrollar un proyecto en cuestión de semanas porque "tienen prisa" cuando un proyecto de arquitectura e interiorismo puede durar años desde que comenzamos con el ante proyecto, no semanas, por eso decidí compartir este post con ustedes quizás les sea de utilidad y de esta manera sepan en que momento acudir a un profesional en caso de necesitarlo. 

Mucha gente suele confundir ambas profesiones pero a pesar de que se complementan muy bien suelen ser muy distintas y el enfoque de las cosas es distinto también, así que si te es posible contar con ambos tendrás un resultado maravilloso y un proyecto bien pensado.

In Mexico we have a lot of culture to do things ourselves and little by little we're solving the immediate problems and it is very common for me to get clients who expect to develop a project in a matter of weeks because they "are in a hurry" when an architecture and interior design project can last years since we start with the project, not weeks, so I decided to share this post with you, maybe it will be useful and in this way know at what time to go to a professional if needed.

Many people tend to confuse both professions but although they complement each other very well they are at the same time very different and the focus of things is very different too, so if you can count with both of them then you will have a wonderful result and a well thought out project.

Así que la pregunta es ¿cuando debo llamar a un arquitecto y diseñador de interiores?

Y la respuesta es en cuanto sepas que tienes un proyecto en mente, el primer acercamiento es unicamente para cotizar y que de esta manera puedas prepararte economicamente para el proyecto, muchos cometen el error de llamar justo cuando falta un mes para abrir el local o mudarse a la casa, no es el 100% de los casos pero desgraciadamente si el de la mayoría, esto complica nuestro trabajo como profesionales y dificulta tu proceso como negocio o mudanza en caso de ser residencial.

So the question is, when should I call an architect and an interior designer?


And the answer is as soon as you know that you have a project in mind, the first approach is only to know how much is going to cost and that in this way you can prepare economically for the project, many make the mistake of calling just a month before to move to the house or business, it is not 100% of the cases but unfortunately, it is the majority of them, this complicates our work as professionals and hinders your process as a business or move in case of being a residential project.

Si tu proyecto aun no esta en construcción es aun mejor ya que tanto un arquitecto como el diseñador de interiores te pueden ayudar a sacar mayor provecho del espacio con una correcta distribución y funcionalidad, hay mil cosas que se piensan al diseñar una casa o un local comercial sea del giro que sea, y requiere de horas de planeación ya sea que requiere construcción o unicamente remodelación ambos son complejos y requieren de ciertos conocimientos que por mas que quieras hacer por ti mismo escaparan de tu vista y después terminaras haciendo corajes con el resultado final, al contratar al profesional tendrás un lugar bien aprovechado que fluya y funcione como se debe.

If your project is not yet under construction it is even better since both an architect and the interior designer can help you get more out of the space with proper distribution and functionality, there are a thousand things that are thought when designing a house or a local commercial whatever the turn, and requires hours of planning whether it requires construction or only remodel, both are complex and require certain knowledge that no matter how much you want to do for yourself, there are some things that will escape from your sight and then you'll end up mad with the final result, when hiring the professional you will have a well-used place that flows and works as it should.

Esta es tan solo la primera etapa, despues podemos entrar a la estetica del lugar y en esta área tambien cada quien se ocupa de cosas distintas, el arquitecto se enfoca en la forma del lugar, la dimensión de los espacios y su fluidez, la luz, los acabados, la construcción en si etc. El diseñador puede complementar la información de la dimensión de espacios y fluidez, lso acabados y la luz pero dando enfoques distintos a los que tendra el arquitecto, esto simplemente se complementara y creara un mejor proyecto.

Teniendo la estetica del lugar en si, entra la estetica del diseñador de interiores, los colores, las telas, las texturas, el mobiliario etc. el estilo interior que complementara el estilo del espacio.

This is only the first stage, then we can enter the aesthetics of the place and in this area also everyone deals with different things, the architect focuses on the shape of the place, the dimension of the spaces and their fluidity, the light , the finishes, the construction itself etc. The designer can complement the information of the dimension of spaces and fluidity, the finishes and light but giving different approaches to those that the architect will have, this will simply complement and create a better project.


Having the aesthetics of the place itself, now we can focus on the interior designe, the colors, fabrics, textures, furniture etc. the interior style that complements the style of the space. 

Al final de cuentas debes estar consciente de que un proyecto de remodelación residencial puede tomar de 1 a 2 años dependiendo del proyecto y sin contar construcción si es necesario.

Cuando hablamos de cocinas podemos tardar de 4 a 6 meses dependiendo del proyecto también y siempre puede demorase mas segun la fluidez economica del cliente.

Los tiempos que te comparto son unicamente de ejecución del proyecto ya que el tiempo de desarrollo del diseño depende de cada despacho o estudio pero es bueno considerarlo también y contactar a los profesionales con tiempo ya que de esta manera les permitirás hacer un mejor trabajo y tu terminaras con un mejor resultado.

At the end of the day you should be aware that a residential remodeling project can take from 1 to 2 years depending on the project and without counting construction if necessary.

When we talk about kitchens we can take from 4 to 6 months depending on the project too and it can always take longer depending on the client's economic fluidity.


The times that I share are only the execution of the project since the design development time depends on each office or study but it is good to also consider it and contact the professionals with time since this way you will allow them to do a better job and your you will end up with a better result.

BREAD Panaderos Artesanales

Esperamos que les haya gustado el proceso de transformación de este proyecto conforme lo hemos compartido en el blog y como lo prometido es deuda aquí esta el resultado final. 

Bread es una Panadería local creada por dos jóvenes amantes de la panadería rustica europea y tradicional, de los productos sin conservadores y del buen pan, Bread comenzo en un pequeño taller que atendian personalmente Alex y Bernardo (dueños de Bread) mientras hacian el pan, comenzo como un hobbie y sobre todo un placer.

el lugar era una casa vieja y grande, muy descuidada y el proyecto fue inspirado primero que nada en el pan que ellos producen y  después en una que otra idea que teníamos nosotros. 

Lo que se buscaba era que la panaderia diera la impresión de entrar a una casa, a un lugar familiar porque para Bernardo y Alex no hay nada mas gratificante que hacer y compartir el pan asi como sus procesos y la historia de cada pan, deseaban que la gente se sintiera acogida por el lugar.

 También se pidio que el pan pudiera apreciarse pero no tocarse, que cada persona pasara y pidiera lo que deseaba llevar a la persona en counter. Por lo mismo decidimos colocar dos enormes estructuras para exhibir sobre todo el pan rustico como si fuera una pared de pan y basicamente lo que solia ser el area de sala y comedor de la casa se convirtio en el area de venta y consumo de la panaderia.

 creamos una infografía sobre el pan campesino con la intención de involucrar mas al consumidor con la marca, ya que a los dueños les encanta la idea de compartir y enseñar sus procesos y ahora era mas complicado hacerlo por ellos mismos.

 Se buscaba que el aire fuera casual y desenfadado, como si todo el espacio se hubiera armado de manera casual.

Bread is a local Bakery created by two young lovers of European and traditional rustic bakery, Bread started in a small workshop and was personally attended by Alex and Bernardo (owners of Bread )  at first started as a hobby and a pleasure .

the place was a big old  house and the project was inspired first of all in the bread they produce and then a another idea that we had.

They wanted that the bakery gave the impression of entering a house , a family place because for Alex and Bernardo there is nothing more rewarding than making and sharing  bread as well as the processes and history of each bread, wanted people feel welcome by.

 It also asked that the bread could be seen but not touched , each person asked what they want and have to ask for it to the person in counter . For this reason we decided to place two huge structures to exhibit mostly rustic bread like a wall of bread and basically what used to be the living room area and dining room of the house became the area of sales and consumption of the bakery.

We create an infographic on country bread with the intent to engage the brand more with the consumer, because the owners love the idea of sharing and teaching their processes and was now more difficult to do it for themselves.

We looked for the whole place a casual and relaxed air, as if the entire space had armed casually.

Yoga & Pilates final....

Bueno ahora si, después de varios post de haber compartido con ustedes el proceso de este lugar finalmente les mostramos el resultado de este estudio de Yoga y Pilates para el que hicimos el diseño interior.

Al principio era solo un espacio abierto que requería de divisiones para crear 3 áreas principalmente, recepción, salón de pilates y shala de yoga, junto con algún espacio para guardar todo lo necesario para ambas disciplinas. 

 

After several posts where we have shared with you the process of this place, finally we can show the final result of this study of Yoga and Pilates for which we did the interior design. 

 

At first, it was just an open space where divisions were required to create three main areas, a reception, pilates room and a yoga shala, along with some space to store everything you need for both disciplines.
