Llego una nueva temporada y con ella las rebajas y por lo mismo una nueva serie de productos que vale la pena considerar para tu hogar para proporcionarle un poco de estilo, ustedes ya saben que para mi la idea de rodearte de cosas bonitas aunque suene muy banal puede cambiar tu experiencia del día a día, tu cotidianidad, un pequeño detalle puede hacerte feliz por que eso es lo que sucede cuando te rodeas de cosas lindas, simplemente piensa en la ropa y en como te sientes cuando tu atuendo funciona o cuando no funciona, algo similar sucede con la decoración de tu casa y como quiero hacer de esta sección una tradición pues les comparto por segunda ocasión mis favoritos de Zara en rebajas. 

A  new season has arrived and with it the sales, therefore a new series of products worth considering for your home to provide a little style and happiness, you already know that for me the idea of surrounding you with nice and pretty things even if it sounds very banal can change your daily experience, your daily life, a small detail can make you happy because that's what happens when you surround yourself with cute things, just think about the clothes and how you feel when your look works or when it does not work , something very similar happens with the decoration of your house and as you know I want to make this section a tradition that's why I share for the second time my favorites of Zara on sale.

1. Lámpara // Lamp 

Esta lámpara cuesta $1,299 pesos, es ideal para dar un toque extra de luz a cualquier espacio y además sirve como elemento decorativo y la combinación con el cristal la hace muy elegante y versátil. 

This lamp is ideal for an extra touch of light and also as a decor element and honestly the combination with the cristal makes it so elegant and easy to match with almost any style. 

2. Jarrón // Vase

Este jarrón me encanta y cuesta solo $299 pesos, es sencillo y es ideal para colocar como pieza en algún librero o repisas, no todo tiene que tener una función en si, aveces la función es simplemente que aporte altura y contraste y  por lo mismo mayor interés visual. 

I love this vase, is so simple and ideal for a bookcase or for some shelf, not everything needs to have a function in your house, sometimes the function is just to give some height or contrast. 

3. Tapete Redondo // Round Rug 

Este tapete cuesta $2,199 pesos y mide 1.50m de diámetro es perfecta si tu casa tiene este aire relajado y un poco bohemio, también funciona muy bien para el cuarto de alguna niña o adolescente o quizas en exterior, en alguna terraza techada, me encanta la textura y el diseño. 

This rug is perfect if you have a relax and bohemian style at your home, also works really good in a girls bedroom or maybe outdoor, at some terrace with a roof, I love the texture and the design. 

4. Porta Vasos // Cup Holders 

 Son demasiado lindos como para no considerarlos, este juego de 4 porta vasos en forma de monstera cuesta $129 pesos y son perfectos para darle un toque diferente a cualquier reunión o simplemente para usarlos en casa. 

These cup holders are just too cute so I must consider them, they have the shape of a monstera and are perfect for any reunion or simply use them at home.

5. Juego de Baño // Bathroom set  

Este juego de baño cuesta $237 pesos en total, cada pieza cuesta $79 pesos y aveces son cosas en las que algunos no piensan en gastar pero ya sea para un baño de visitas o para tu propio baño siempre es bueno tener un juego lindo y que haga lucir un poco mas tu espacio. 

Some people don't think too much about buying this kind of things but I belive is really good if you can have little details like these, that make your space more special or different. 

6. Farolillo // Lantern 

Creo que siempre pongo una de estas y es que me encantan y obsesionan un poco, esta cuesta $399 pesos y no me cansare de decirlo son perfectas, para terrazas, balcones o cualquier zona de exterior a la que quieras dar vida, lo ideal es que uses mas de una. 

I think I always recomend this kind of thing but is just that I love them, I won't be tired of saying this but they are so perfect for terraces or balconies or any exterior zone that you want to highlight and remember, the ideal is to use more than one. 

7. Taza // Mug 

Esta taza cuesta $79 pesos y me gusta por que tiene un estilo y aire de las tazas de cerámica hechas a mano que esta tan de moda hoy en día, los colores son muy serenos y pacíficos que es fácil imaginar una escena a su alrededor. 

 I like this mug because it has a style and air of handmade ceramic mugs that are so trendy right now, the colors are very serene and peaceful that it is easy to imagine a scene around it.

8. Manta // Blanket 

Ya me conocen, una manta es indispensable para mi y podría tener mil, tenerlas en un sillón o alguna silla cuando el clima comienza a refrescar es tan agradable, acogedor y ademas aporta un super estilo y esta manta cuesta $379 pesos. 

You know me, a blanket is crucial for me and I could have like a thousand, have them on the sofa or at some chair when the weather starts to be fresh again is so nice and cozy aaand also gives a lot of style. 

9. Cojín // Cushion

Hay mil opciones de cojines pero el diseño de este me gusto con un patrón en puntos y en tonos blanco y negro, es fácil de combinar con colores mas intensos. La funda de este cojín cuesta $199 pesos. 

There are a lot of cushions options but I really liked this one, a nice pattern in black and white that makes it so easy to match with some intense colors.

6 tapetes que puedes encontrar en Monterrey por menos de 5 mil pesos

Nuevamente les traigo uno de esos post que en mi opinión pues resultan bastante útiles, en este caso les hablaré de un tema muy delicado...tapetes, y si créanme es delicado y de suma importancia cuando hablamos de diseño interior porque, verán, el tapete es algo muy maravilloso que logra mil cosas en un espacio, no les daré la lista completa pero por ejemplo, crea mas calidez, agrega color, esconde pisos feos (porque hay casos) divide espacios sin necesidad de muros, genera una sensación de lujo y así mil y un cosas mas, entonces pues si, si es importante, la bronca es que suelen ser caros o carisimos y encontrar una opción buena, bonita y barata pues no es cosa fácil, hay muchos tapetes por ahí feos o simplones y pues esta bien si eso es lo que quieren pero en mi humilde opinión échenle mas ganitas con este tema si ya han decidido poner un tapete en alguna parte de su casa, yo se que aparte de todo esto si le sumas que en monterrey nuestras opciones aveces parecen ser mas limitadas de lo normal pues si la cosa se complica y mucho, entonces por eso les armo este post, puse 5 mil pesos porque mencionare tapetes de un buen tamaño, que alcanzan a cubrir un espacio pequeño y ya una buena alfombra o tapete que cubra estas características y que encuentres por menos de 5 mil pesos créeme ya es un buen precio, ir bajando de ahí pues simplemente significa que estas de suerte, recuerden no hablo de tapetes peludos de un solo color que no aportan estilo (salvo en algunas ocasiones) hablo de tapetes con textura, personalidad y carácter.  

Además si su espacio es mas grande y si el diseño o patron de la alfombra lo permite pueden juntarlas y crear la idea de que es un tapete mucho mas grande.

Again I bring you one of those post that in my opinion are quite useful, in this case I will talk about a very delicate topic ... rugs, and yes it is a very delicate and of utmost importance when we talk about interior design, because you know, the rug is a wonderful thing that achieves a thousand things in a space, I will not give you the complete list but for example, it creates more warmth, adds color, hides ugly floors (because there are cases) divides spaces without walls, generates a feeling of luxury and a lot of thousand and one more things, then yes, it is very important, the problem is that sometimes they are often expensive or super mega expensive and to find a good, nice and cheap option is not easy, of course there are many rugs around that are ugly or simple and that's ok if that's what you want but in my humble opinion make a little effort to find something pretty if you already decided to put a rug in some part of your house, I know that apart from all this if you add that in Monterrey our options sometimes appear to be more limited than normal, well that makes everthing a little bit more complicated, don't you think?

 so that's why I am doing this post, I put 5 thousand pesos because I'll mention carpets of a good size, that reach to cover a small space and if you find a good size carpet that also is pretty and you found it for less than 5 thousand pesos believe me, it's already a good price, if you found it cheaper, well my friend is because it simply you are a lucky person, remember  I'm  speaking of carpets with texture, personality and character.

Carisimo Vs. Ganga

Pues sí, encontré un nuevo objeto que puedo presentarles en esta sección, como les platique la vez pasada, algunas veces quizás sientan que los productos carisimos están desproporcionados, pero hay que ver el trabajo que hay detrás, definitivamente si tienen la opción u oportunidad de comprar el objeto original, vale totalmente la pena, honestamente son objetos para la vida y que se pueden heredar (aunque suene loco) pero al mismo tiempo si en algún momento decides comprar uno de estos objetos de diseñador tienes que estar seguro de que es algo que te encanta y que sabrás atesorar. 

Pero bueno, ya hable mucho, el objeto de esta ocasión es un porta velas que pueden encontrar en vitra y que fueron diseñados por Alexander Girard en 1963 (como siempre digo ¡wow!) y que viene con bases en 4 formas distintas, la que yo les presento es la mas sencilla y básica por decirlo así, esta linda pieza cuesta cerca de 109 euros es decir aproximadamente $3,758 pesos, por otro lado, encontré no idéntico, pero similar y dando el estilo y aire un porta velas en H&M home dorado también, con base redonda y simplemente ¡super lindo! en opción baja y alta, la alta cuesta $199 pesos y la baja cuesta $119 pesos, me encantan este tipo de objetos, son demasiado versátiles ¿no creen?

Well yes, I found a new object that I can present to you in this new section, and as I told you last time, sometimes you may feel that the expensive products are disproportionate, but you have to see the work behind it, definitely if you have the option or opportunity to buy the original object, the expensive one, it is totally worth it! honestly they are objects for life and they can be inherited (even if it sounds crazy) but at the same time if at some point you decide to buy one of these designer objects you have to be sure that it is something that you love and that you will treasure.

But well, I already talked a lot, the object of this occasion is a candle holder that can be found in vitra and that was designed by Alexander Girard in 1963 (as I always say, wow!) this piece comes in 4 different bases, the one that I choose is the most classic one, this cute piece costs about 109 euros and on the other hand, I found a not identical, but similar candle holder at H&M home is also golden, with round bottom, in a small and in a tall version and they are just super cute!  the small one cost about 6 or 7 dlls and the tall one about 10 dlls (these prices are approximate because I just have them in pesos, so, is better if you check the hm home at your country) I just love this type of objects, they are too versatile, don't you think?

Mis favoritos de Zara Home

Como ustedes saben en ciudades como la nuestra no existen muchas tiendas de objetos de decoración que cambien con las temporadas, que se renueven y manejen precios accesibles y además de todo productos realmente bonitos, pero una de las opciones que nunca falla es Zara Home y como lo hace con la ropa, con el cambio de temporada llegan las rebajas y la verdad creo que vale mucho la pena siempre y cuando sepas comprar. 

Hay una serie de objetos que no pasaran de moda y que son super útiles y creo que todo mundo debe de tener. 

Soy una fiel creyente de que tu casa sí puede parecer de revista siempre y cuando seas disciplinado en cuidarla (como todo en esta vida) y sepas comprar con prudencia e inteligencia siempre teniendo una meta para que no acabes con un pozole por casa ¡obvio! 

Aquí les comparto algunos de los productos que van de salida en esta temporada. 

Maybe you know or maybe not but in a city like Monterrey sometimes is kind of hard to find a good decoration store that renovates constantly with every season with good prices and beautiful products but for me Zara Home is always a good choice and as you know this is SALE time and there are a lot of things you can buy to a good price and that are not going to be out of fashion anytime soon and also have a very good price and I just think everyone should have. I'm a truly beliver that your home can look like in a magazine as long as you take care of it (as everything in this life) and also be smart when you shop!

Here are some of these season products that are totally worth it. 

1. Canastas // Baskets

Estas canastas cuestan $628 pesos el par y son super practicas como decoración o almacenamiento de cosas como cojines o mantas o juguetes en el cuarto de una niña por ejemplo.

This baskets are so functional and pretty, you can put them everywhere and put some blankets on them or pillows and why not to store toys in a girls bedroom. 

2. Bandeja Redonda // Round tray

Esta bandeja cuesta $579 pesos y es perfecta cuando no tienes una mesa de centro solida en tu sala y quieres poner algún jarrón con flores o alguna vela, también llena de velas en algún rincón se vería genial, puedes usarla para tener cosas en orden en una consola en la entrada de tu casa y poner llaves o cartera por ejemplo. 

This tray is so beautiful you can use it in your living room when you don't have a solid coffe table and you whan to put some flower vase or some candels on it, you can also use it at the entrance of your home to put some keys or a wallet and have everything in order and easy to find. 

3. Servidores // Servers 

Estos servidores solo cuestan $449 pesos y son perfectos para ensaladas o pasta, quizas aveces sientas que no necesitas tenerlos pero son de esas cosas que cuando ocupas y no tienes te complicas la vida y honestamente ¿cual es la necesidad? vale la pena comprar objetos útiles y bonitos aunque no los uses todos los días. 

These servers are perfect for salads or pasta, maybe you feel that you don't need them but is one of those things that when you need them and don't have any you are just struggleing with the situation and honestly why do that??? is totally worth it to have pretty and practical objects even if you don't use them everyday. 

4. Portavela // Candle holder

Los portavelas son accesorios super prácticos y sencillos de transformar y dar un mood distinto a un lugar, este cuesta $89 pesos y es fácil de colocar y combinar. 

The candle holders are such an easy way to change the mood in a place and this one in particular is just so pretty!

5. Portaretratos // Picture Frame 

Siempre, siempre, siempre! es bueno tener uno y este cuesta $299 pesos

6. Farolillo // Lantern  

Soy super fan de los farolillos como este que cuesta $579 pesos, en terrazas o balcones mezclados con las plantas o en alguna consola ¡simplemente perfectos!

I'm such a big fan ot this tipe of lanterns imagine them at a balcony or mix it with plants or maybe in a shelf, they are just perfect!

7. Jarron de cristal  // Cristal vase

Todo mundo debe tener alguno y este cuesta solo $199 pesos es decir si un día tienes alguien que te regala flores y típico que no tienes donde ponerlas o quizás tu te sientes con el antojo de comprarte flores y que tu casa se vea mas linda. 

Everyone should have one at home, I mean, what if someone gives you flowers and you don't have nothing to put them in? or maybe you just feel like ad some flowers to your home, this is just perfect for it.

Esta manta cuesta $999 pesos que es muy buen precio para una manta y es ligera así que puedes usarla gran parte del año, es perfecta para colocarla en algún sillón y poder arropar tus piernas mientras lees o tomas el café, también como acompañantes de terraza son geniales. 

This blanket is pretty and light easy to match so is perfect to put it in a sofá to cover your legs while you are reading or drinking your coffe, also at a terrace is a good choice. 

9.  Bowl 

No todos los bowls tienen que ser para comer, puedes usarlo para servir botanas también o para darle un twist a tu vajilla tradicional, este cuesta $99 pesos.

The little white dress....

Bueno este post es simplemente por que si, siempre escuchamos sobre el must que es un pequeño vestido negro y como nos saca de cualquier apuro y últimamente he podido notar que la gente le teme al nemesis del negro es decir el blanco que para mi son mis dos mejores amigos y tratándose de verano o invierno el blanco es tan buena opción para mi como lo es el negro, simplemente no me puedo resistir a ninguno de los dos, así que decidí mostrar una serie de imágenes que si tienen alguna duda sobre ese vestido blanco que vieron en la tienda o que tienen guardado por ahí y simplemente no saben cuando usar, pues....ojala y estas imágenes les den un poco de valor. 

We always hear about the little black dress, we all know is a must, it helps you in every situation and always makes you look good, but recently I've noticed that people is kind of scare of the opposite of black, I'm talking about the white of course, and I wonder why is this? For me both are my best friends, it doesn't matter if is summer or winter, white works for me as good as the black does, so I decided to show you some examples of little white dresses, maybe if you still have some doubts about it these images will clear all that.

Si y No del diseño interior..................

Este lunes fui invitada por Tania y Emmanuel a platicar al programa "Platicando con..." en stereo hits 106.1 una estación de aqui (Monterrey) pero esta vez hablariamos de diseño sin profundizar demasiado, platicamos de una serie de tips para hacer un plan de diseño residencial (13 puntos en total) y esto fue un poco lo que platicamos.

Yesterday I was invited by Tania and Emmanuel from the radio show "talking with..." in stereo hits 106.1 a local station, I already have gone once (to talk about yoga) but this time we talk about interior design (residential) we talk about some tips to make a plan when you are in the middle or beginig to design your house or apartment or whatever (13 points total) and this is a little bit of what we talk about.

1. Haz un Plan: esto evitara que compres cosas que no necesitas, se te hara mas facil si defines primero lo que quieres y necesitas.

            Make a Plan: it's easier if you decide from the very beginning what you want and need, this way you won't be buying things you don't need.

2. Paleta de colores: utiliza menos de 3 colores si no eres experto (con experto me refiero a diseñadores de modas, de interiores, artistas, fotografos etc. cualquiera que trabaje con el color en su dia a dia) manjea una sola paleta de colores para las areas publicas de tu casa (sala, comedor etc.) y puedes usar diferentes paletas de colores en las demas habitaciones.

   Color Palette: work with less than 3 colors unless you're and expert (with expert I mean designers, artists, photographers.. everybody who work's with color on their daily basics) try to keep one palette in the public areas of your home like living room and dining room, entrance you know... for the rest of the rooms you can work with different palettes one for each room.

3. Cinta metrica y Medidas: siempre cargalas contigo te evitaran problemas y sera más facil cuando veas algo que te guste y te preguntes mmmm esto cabra en mi casa??? y tambien toma las medidas de tu puerta principal y ventanas (nunca sabes si un mueble sera muy complicado de meter a tu casa)

   Tape measure and home measures: always bring them with you, everything will be easier every time you find something that you like and you'll ask yourself mmmm I wonder if this fits into my house??? and also take the measures of your front door and windows you never know when a furniture will be too big or too complicated to get into your house.

4. Color en los Accesorios: si te da miedo eso de ser muy agresivo manten los muebles en colores neutros (beige, gris, blanco, cafe claro etc.) y se mas agresivo en los accesorios (cojines, velas, lamparas etc.) agrega color de verdad hacen la diferencia.

  Color on Accesories: If you are afraid to use too much color keep your furniture in neutrals (beige, gray, white..) and be more agresive with the accesories (pillows, candles, lamps...) and give a little bit of color, it really makes the difference.

5. Iluminación: Invierte un poco mas en tus lamparas, recuerda que ellas son las joyas que complementan tu look.

  Lighting: spend a little more money on your lamps, remember they are the jewelry of your look at least to me.  

6. Baños: si tienes un baño de visitas alocate un poco mas experimenta un poco en esta parte de tu casa.

   Bathroom: be more risky with this area of your house, it's more important than what usually people thinks.

7. Cocina: recuerda que la cocina es el corazón del hogar, piensa bien que es lo que quieres de ella y como te gustaria que funcionara.

   Kitchen: remember that the kitchen it's a home's hearth, think really well what you want from it and how would you like it to work.

8. Para quien es esta habitación???

aveces diseñamos con lo que se supone que debe de tener una habitación pero enfocate en quienes usaran cada habitación y en sus personalidades, sueños y deseos.

   Who is going to use this room???

 sometimes we design based on what a room should have and we should focus on who is going to use it, you know?? how is his/her personality, what are their dreams and desires.

9. Closet y Vestidor: si tienes un closet significa que quieres mas espacio, entonces utiliza el resto de la habitacion con cajones, cajas, maletas, hazlo divertido en el proceso. Si tienes vestidor bueno ya estas de mas gane pero aun asi, a mi me gusta diseñarlos para que sean funcionales y al mismo tiempo que parezcan pequeñas boutiques, tu propia tienda pura diversión, aun asi usa paredes como exhibidores.

    Closet and Walking Closet: if you have a closet it means you want more space, then use the rest of your room, you can use extra furniture, cool boxes or some suitcase but make it fun. If you have a walking closet well let me tell you, you are a lucky person... I like to design walking closets to make them functionals and also imagine that they are small boutiques, your own store, it's pure fun, still use your walls to create more displays.

10. Si tienes niños: crea espacios que sean solo para ellos, no importa que sea su habitación y coloca canastas o cosas que les faciliten la limpieza, y trata de estimular su creatividad por medio del espacio.

    If you have kids: make a room only for them it doesn't matter if it is their own bedroom, put some baskets or something to make easy for them the cleaning process and try to estimulate they're creativity trough the room.

11. Jardines: el pasillo de la entrada a tu casa puede ser un pequeño jardin, incluso puedes poner alguna planta aromatica (dejara una sensación muy agradable) si tienes jardin igual que con los vestidores dejame decirte que ya saliste ganon, dale alturas y diferenes formas y colores, si tienes un patio con piso y nada de jardin, utiliza macetas, se ven super cool.

    Gardens: the entrance to your house can be a small garden where you can put some aromatic flowers (they'll leave a nice memory) if you have a garden... again you are a lucky person, give it some different highs, shapes and colors, if you have some outdoor space but no garden, use some pots, different highs and shapes, they are soo cool.

12. Recuerda que la casa es para ti:

 No importa si algunas cosas parecen raras o los demas no las usan es tu casa y es tu espacio, lo ideal es que tu te sientas feliz viviendo ahi.

 Remember the house is for you:

 it doesn't matter if something seems weird, it's your house, the ideal is for you to be happy in it.
